Michelle started in the year 1997 as a doll maker and doll pattern designer, mainly focusing on
Snowmen and Raggedy type dolls, and thus Raggedy Pants Designs was born. She discovered
Stone Clay in 2014 and immediately fell in love with the material, quickly turning to sculpting as her new focus.
She is married to Brandon. Has two adult sons Brock and Curt, daughter-in-law Katie, and two grandsons Luke and Reid
She sculpts each piece by hand using a stone clay over various armatures. Each piece is painted
and embellished with various materials, Papers, tinsel, glitter, lace and wool being amongst her favorite. Whenever she can she loves to incorporate vintage and antiques into her art.
In 2016 Michelle was licensed by Bethany Lowe Designs. She is often asked what does that mean and what is a reproduction? It means that Michelle is a artist for Bethany Lowe. Michelle designs a piece of art and collaborates with Bethany and her team to finalize and bring the design to life. That original piece is then reproduced in the Philippines by a team of artisans and sold by Bethany Lowe Designs to stores throughout the world. This is one of the greatest honors of Michelle's career.
